Fronted by national newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky ‘The Changing Face of Retail’ is the British Retail Consortium’s new film, made in partnership with ITN Productions, exploring the transformation the sector is undergoing and the resultant effect this is having on retail businesses, staff and consumers.
The programme which premiered on 16th May at Retail 2020 in London, includes industry interviews and leading figures driving change, which we are delighted to be a key part of to inform and help shape the future of the industry. ‘The Changing Face of Retail’ is now available to watch on our YouTube channel, or view the full programme on the BRC’s website.
The programme demonstrates how the digital revolution is impacting the industry and although there is a continual shift to e-commerce, the craving for real world interaction – with products, peers and physical spaces – is greater than ever.
Helen Dickinson, Chief Executive of the BRC, said: “The retail industry is at the epicentre of huge changes and is working towards a vision of better and more rewarding jobs. For the first time, this programme brings that journey to life. We hope that people watching the film gain a better understanding of the remarkable journey that the retail industry is on and join in the conversation about it.”
Mike Roberts our Chief Creative Officer and Andrew Bowyer our Digital Director shared their expertise and insights into the future of retail, filmed in our Pro:Direct store on Carnaby Street and The North Face on Regent Street. Here at Green Room we believe that as bricks and clicks collide, the brands that will thrive are those who challenge us to create unforgettable, individual, multi-layered experiences, spanning both the physical and digital realms and putting humans at the very heart.
