Urban outdoor lifestyle brand Timberland’s longstanding commitment to protecting and restoring the outdoors has been perfectly captured in its pop-up style concept Timberland Park, premiering at Bread&&Butter, in Berlin today on August 31.

The urban park creates an authentic link and launch pad to the brands My Playgreen, Berlin initiative – previously activated in London and Milan – that supports the rejuvenation of public urban outdoor spaces, while further highlighting the important role of sustainability.

Designed and installed by Birmingham based Green Room Design, the 180sq m pop-up style experience invites visitors onto a foliage lined environment compete with real trees – all tagged for return to nursery post event – to elevate the sensation of an outdoor oasis.

Over the 3-day festival prolific fashion designer; Christopher Raeburn will be running VIP workshops in a dedicated space, recycling disused military materials and other props to create bags. The t-shirt workshop, called ‘2-minute tees’ gives participants the opportunity to take away their own customised organic cotton t-shirt in a hessian bag, also for the more green fingered, terrarium plant will be presented in recycled cardboard boxes, promoting sustainability and the growth indoor gardens.

In addition to the workshop and centre focal point of the stand showcasing the Raeburn X Timberland range collaboration, a relaxation area featuring tents for foot-weary visitors – complete with bird songs and other natural outdoor sounds – where they can interact with digital terminals to further explore a microsite detailing their respective initiatives. Green Room also designed the microsites and windows POS in selected Berlin stores that build anticipation pre-event.

Speaking about the project, Mike Roberts, Chief Creative Officer at Green Room said:

In my experience, Bread&&Butter has always been an event where brands can come and let their hair down and creatively express their personality. The Timberland Park project is an exciting proposition that allowed us not only to explore how we could create an environment that not only delivered great, sensory experiences, but also support values that the Timberland brand truly care about.

Bread&&Butter by Zalando is a pop-up of style and culture, taking place between the 31st August and 2nd September at Arena Berlin.
